Regional Overhead Door Companies Merge

JONESBORO, ARK — Jonesboro Overhead Door and Tri County Garage Door recently merged under a single ownership, combining two of the top overhead and garage door companies in Northeast Arkansas and Southeast Missouri.

“As a family-owned business, we keep the families of our customers and the families of our employees at the forefront of our decision making. With the purchase of Tri County Garage Door, we can keep serving all of those families by providing the products, services and jobs that they all need,” said Gene Vance, representative of the ownership group of Jonesboro Overhead Door.

Both Jonesboro Overhead Door and Tri County Garage Door have long histories of providing quality sales and service of commercial overhead door installations, dock equipment, screens and awnings, residential garage doors, electric openers and repair services.

“Merging these businesses will allow us to better serve our customers and continue building on the reputations that both companies have earned over the last several years,” Vance added. “We’re pleased to welcome the Tri County customers and crew to the Jonesboro Overhead Door family and are excited to see what the future holds.”

Kenny Freeman, previous owner (President of Tri County Garage Door, Inc.) of Tri County Garage Door, adds that "when I determined that I needed to retire from the everyday grind of the business world, I researched to determine who could continue giving my customers the individual attention that I have given. The answer came easy for me and I contacted Gene Vance. I know that my customers and employees will be treated the way I would want them treated."

Established in 1974, Jonesboro Overhead Door was purchased by the Vance family in 2001. In addition to specializing in LiftMaster and Raynor products, the company is the only LiftMaster Pro Advantage dealer in the region. Tri County Garage Door has been in business since 1998, offering the LiftMaster brand to customers in Jonesboro and the surrounding area. Together, these companies provide premier overhead door products and services to both residents and business owners across Northeast Arkansas and Southeast Missouri.
